House Mites
House mites, such as dust mites and other microscopic pests, are a common problem in UK homes. These tiny creatures thrive in warm, humid environments and are often found in bedding, carpets, upholstery, and soft furnishings. While they are not typically harmful to most people, they can trigger allergies and exacerbate asthma, leading to discomfort and health concerns.

How we deal with Mites
Ultra low Volume (ULV)
Mites can be so tiny they’re difficult sometimes to see with the naked eye. Mites are not insects but are arachnids and related to spiders and ticks. They can present in their tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands. It’s important to try and find the source so there’s no reoccurrence.
ULV is a product that has been designed to be emitted using a machine called an Exodus. It’s been used on commercial aircraft for a number of years and some pest control companies also use it in domestic properties & commercial. It can also be used on public transport such as buses and trains.
It works by emitting airborne droplets between 5-30 microns. This enables the insecticide to penetrate inaccessible areas in cupboards and behind furniture. It’s ideal for these tiny arachnids as stand-alone treatment.

DIY Pest Control
Bleaching work surfaces and cupboards may offer some temporary relief, but unfortunately it won’t cure the problem. Killing all the mites is the goal and by the use of airborne insecticide along with finding the source of the issue will resolve the problem quickly.
